Honoring Our Heroes, Inc. is a non-profit group dedicated to recognizing our veterans and sharing their experiences through Operation: Anvil, a living history event held in Bowling Green Kentucky, by teaching our World War II history to the public through battles and in-camp lessons on the life of the soldiers. Honoring Our Heroes does not condone, support or promote any individuals or groups with a racist, violent or intolerant agenda. Any potentially offensive national or unit symbols from World War II are used strictly for historical purposes.

Setup is Friday, October 6. Two demos are scheduled for Saturday, October 7. Tear down on Sunday. The demo area consists of a large flat field with room for vehicles and battle props. There is also room for large, period camping with room for unloading and parking near camp site. At this time, vehicle demos are being planned.
UNIFORMED reenactors who sign up and support event will be provided breakfast by Chic-Fi–Lay and lunch by local business supplier cooked off-site and brought in at lunchtime.
Military Vendors will have free set up but must furnish own tables and covers. There is NO electricity on site.
There will be public viewing stands with close parking for the public. All veterans are welcome. This is a family event and children are welcome.
Reenactor dress will be World War II European Theater, U.S. GI and German (Allied and Axis) impressions welcomed. Restrictions on battle conduct and behavior include:

NO LIVE AMMO, YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM EVENT !
No pointing of weapons directly at individuals.
No firing at reenactors within 20 feet.
No fixed bayonets.
No hand-to-hand combat.
No shooting of POW’s
NO FIRING AROUND BLIND CORNERS OR OVER WALLS
DO NOT FIRE WEAPONS NEXT TO ANYONE'S HEAD ! NEVER !
WEAR EAR PROTECTION DURING ALL DEMOS
Smoke and pyro are permitted with event coordinators approval.
Do not throw anything at or into vehicles.
Keep clear of all demo vehicles during battle at all times.
No German flags with swastikas permitted in camp site.
German flags used for aerial recognition are allowed on German vehicles during demo
No political uniforms at any time.
No alcohol use prior to public demo, ZERO !
NO ONE under 18 to use firearm, 16 if under direct parental control.
14 years and above can do medic impression, ammo bearer, noncombatant, under adult supervision
